The La Benda B-2960 armchair combines traditional craftsmanship with contemporary design. It is made of beechwood (a plywood seat and backrest, with all other elements crafted from solid wood) using a steam- and pressure-bending technique developed in the 19th century and still used today in our Jasienica factory.
The gracefully curved beech hoop forms one continuous line — from the front legs, through the armrests, all the way to the backrest — contrasting with the straight rear legs.
The design is by Pedro Salgado, a Portuguese designer and graduate of the Escola Superior de Artes e Design in Porto, whose work blends a passion for traditional techniques with a modern perspective on form. The La Benda chair reflects his sensitivity to detail, proportion, and the emotions a piece of furniture can evoke.
The La Benda B-2960 model works beautifully in home dining rooms and living spaces, as well as in commercial interiors such as cafés, restaurants, or hotel lobbies. Thanks to its lightweight yet durable construction, it is both aesthetic and practical, and can be easily stacked.
