Drum S is a lightweight coffee table — both visually and physically — designed on a small scale. The wooden tabletop is framed within a smooth loop of bentwood, while the lower shelf, airy and delicate, is made of natural cane weave stretched over a wooden frame. The quality of the piece depends on the precise tension of this weave, and this element — tightened like a drum skin — inspired the table’s name.
This design demonstrates how traditional materials — bentwood and classic cane weave — can be transformed into contemporary forms suited to modern interiors.
The designer, Maja Ganszyniec, is known for projects that combine timeless aesthetics with a responsible approach to design. Drum is not only a striking interior element but also an acclaimed contemporary piece — it was recognized in the must have 2025 selection and won the Best Polish Design 2025 award during 4 Design Days.
