The Classic 1840 collection is a contemporary tribute to the tradition of bentwood furniture, developed for more than 140 years in our Jasienica factory. Its roots go back to the Thonet-Mundus brand, which revolutionised design in the early 20th century by introducing light and elegant bentwood furniture.

The Classic H-1840 model is a bar stool inspired by Thonet’s most iconic chair. It preserves its harmonious silhouette and light construction, bringing classic aesthetics into bar and kitchen spaces. The version with a natural-mat seat retains the lightness and timeless character of the original. The weave is reinforced underneath with a transparent mesh, increasing its durability and resistance to everyday use.
Crafted from beechwood bent using steam and pressure, it combines simplicity with artisanal precision. A comfortable footrest enhances the user experience.

A seat height of 680 mm ensures comfort when used with lower kitchen counters and standard-height islands, adding elegance and the characteristic lightness of classic bentwood furniture to interior spaces.
