Its roots go back to the Thonet-Mundus brand, an international pioneer that revolutionised design in the early 20th century by introducing light, elegant, and affordable bentwood furniture.

The Classic A-1840 model is one of the most recognisable designs. Its harmonious proportions, lightweight construction, and timeless form have made it a defining symbol of Thonet style for generations. Made of beechwood bent under steam and pressure, it impresses with its simplicity and craftsmanship precision.

The version with a natural-mat seat preserves the characteristic bent backrest and delicate structure. The weave is reinforced underneath with a transparent mesh, increasing its durability and resistance to everyday use.
